Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
Early in the morning after breakfast you will be driven to queen Elizabeth national park by your driver from Kigali to Gatuna 80kms 1 ½ hrs., you will spend an hour at the boarder doing clearance of the car and getting passport stamps. From there we shall drive to kabale to bushenyi where queen Elizabeth is located.upon arrival we shall check in the lodge as we wait for lunch and then go for an evening game drive.
Day 2: Game drive and boat launch
Early in the morning we shall set off for a game drive in the open Savannah grasslands with clear views of various animals herds of elephants, buffalo’s’, elands, antelopes, warthogs, water-bucks, Topi, leopards, lions and many more, then we shall go back for our late head to the lodge for lunch and then go for a boat cruise at the kazinga channel where lake Edward and George join together, we shall see a lot of bird species and water animals. We shall then retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Kalinzu Chimps Tracking and Visit to Katwe Salt Mine
The chimpanzees in Kyambura are habituated meaning they have been accustomed to human presence and this does not stop them from going on with their activities. You will experience lush savannah grasslands leading to the gorge, to the flowing rivers and creeks. Red tailed monkeys, baboons, butterflies and different bird species are among other inhabitants of this little paradise worth sighting besides Chimpanzees.Besides the primates,the forest boasts great hiking trails upon there is a lot to explore.while walking in the forest,look out for soldier ants as they have such painful sting while trekking one of mans closest primate relatives.After breakfast we shall embark on an exciting chimpanzee tracking exercise in kalanzu forest reserve,have lunch and hen set out for a guided nature walk to the katwe salt mine.
Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali for your flight
Early in the morning after your heavy breakfast, you will then set off for Kigali where you will connect for your flight.
