Day 1: Transfer to Iby’ iwacu cultural village and later drive back to Kigali.

Iby’Iwacu cultural village is one of the key features that make Rwanda safaris exceptional experiences. It’s located in Nyakigoma cell, Kinigi sector. Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village gives you a rare chance to meet local people, in their environment, with a taste of our culture and traditions. Be genuinely welcomed by the community as a special visitor while they proudly present to you aspects of their traditions and beliefs. The only way to get to know people, is getting close and interacting with local people, and taking part in their daily activities and most of all with them. It’s a 20 mins drive from Musanze town.
Breakfast will be at 6:00 am and then by 7:00 am we shall have a 2 hours 13 mins drive to the cultural village where the Rwandan heritage will be shared with you. You will be entertained by a cultural troupe who will take you through the Rwandan culture and and heritage,one of you will get the chance to be crowned  king and bride for the day.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes national park and trek the Gorillas.

Volcanoe National Park is the Rwandan section of the great volcanic massif called the Virunga Mountains that straddles the borders of Rwanda, Uganda and the DRC. The massif covers a huge area of over 8,000 kms, encompassing six active and three extinct volcanoes. Gorillas, of course, pay no heed to borders and are known to cross between the countries, although most habituated groups are to be found in Volcanoes National Park. The massif is home to around half of the world’s precious mountain gorillas – some 400 of them – making Rwanda probably the best place in Africa for a tracking safari.
You will wake up Early in the morning for you breakfast at 5:30 am and then by 6:30am, we shall be going to the briefing point at the park headquarters in kinigi village. You will be told about the dos and don’ts of the gorilla trekking and you will be put in groups of people and allocated a gorilla group that you will be visiting. You will be accompanied by highly trained guides and park rangers who will keep on telling you more about the gorillas and their lives. The trek can last for 2 to 6 hours basing on the Gorilla movements, you will be given 1hr with the gorillas to take pictures and also observe their behavior and you will be advised to keep a distance of 7meters. After the trek we shall drive back to Kigali to your hotel. Onomo hotel
