The ethnographic museum, formerly the national museum of Rwanda is the national museum of Rwanda located in Butare, it was built with the help of the Belgian government.it first opened in 1989 and it is a good source of information on the cultural history of the country and the region. The building itself is certainly one of the most beautiful structures in the city, the museum wins’ top marks for having one of the best ethnological and archaeological collections in the entire region. 
Early morning you will be picked up from your home/hotel and head out to the ethnographic center located in Butare Huye province. Upon your arrival you will be accompanied by a guide who will explain the history behind the museum and a lot.

12:00 pm -1:00 pm: lunch

We shall have lunch in the town of Butare before heading out to Nyanza king’s palace.

1:30 pm transfer to Nyanza king’s palace

After our lunch we shall then transfer to the king’s palace in Nyanza.There you see a few long-horned Inyambo cattle, descended from the king’s herd, whose keepers carefully ten and sing to them, the elegant cows derived from the wider Ankole breed, played an important role during ceremonies I honor of the king. The finest displays of Rwanda’s dynamic traditional musical and dance styles are performed by the Intore dance troupes.

4:00 pm: Transfer back to Kigali
Duration:2 hrs 17 mins

After experiencing the Nyanza king’s palace, we shall then head back for Kigali city.
